The playing field background (i.e. the sea) used in Sharks v. Fish goes through a complex rendering sequence. So many layers, colours, refractions, rotations, translations, etc! To design and program all the art, math, and randomness associated with the sea background, I programmed a visual debug mode (see attached images*) so I could visualize the workings of the sea graphics engine.
I found watching it so enjoyable that I spun the debug sea mode into the new Oceana feature.
SvF Oceana delivers endless, full-screen, refreshing ocean goodness, and will amuse all who are fortunate enough to catch a glimpse.
Launch it using the batch file: SvF-Oceana.bat
Or via the command line with: SvF.exe -oceana
What else is in this release? Tons more Movement and Colours! That is the theme of Sharks v. Fish!
*attached images are lame screen captures and do not demonstrate the animation effects.
